Winter’s Tale wasdirected by Beth Lopes and produced by The New Swan Shakespeare Festival. Our production was set in the Edwardian era, which placed Sicilia in a Northern European metropolitan city and Bohemia wasplace in the rural hills of Eastern Europe. The juxtaposition of the two locations was distinguished in the costumethrough color pallet and texture. Sicilia maintained a cool color pallet with clean lines, whereas Bohemiacontained warm earth tones with many layered and textured garments.
