The Other Place isa play the delves into the mind of the main character, Julianna, strugglingwith dementia. The play follows herjourney as she becomes disengaged with reality and struggles to maintain herrelationships with her family. The Other Place was directed by MatthewMcCray and produced by The Chance Theatre in the Fall of 2018. The costume designs attempted to isolate eachcharacter in a bright color. This wasmeant be used as a tool to identify how the characters were being seen throughJulianna’s eyes. As the actors becamedifferent characters, their colors stayed the same, giving the play adream-like and otherworldly feeling.
